The Nijmegen Four Days Marches, or 'The Walk of the World', is the largest multi-day walking event in the world in which 47,000 walkers take part every year. They come to Nijmegen from all over the world to walk for four days in Nijmegen and its beautiful surroundings.

The Four Days Marches has been the largest multi-day walking performance event in the world for decades and is not a competition, it is all about delivering the performance. Participants cover distances of 30, 40 or 50 kilometres for four consecutive days. Those who successfully complete the trek are rewarded with the coveted Four Days Marches Cross, an award recognised by the Dutch King.

Dutch Customs hosts this event for European Custom Officers, al well as Custom Officers from the Dutch Antilles.

Day 1 walking: July 21

Day 2 walking: July 22

Day 3 walking: July 23

Day 4 walking: July 24

Closing ceremony: July 24

Transport

At arrival and departue transport from /to the trainstation of Nijmegen and the hotel is arranged by Dutch Customs

 

Costs

€150 per participant. Including lodging, food and daily transportation from the hotel to the start and vice versa
