This year, the ECSA bowling tournament made a stop in Leipzig.

Thanks to the excellent planning and organization by Michael Fuhrmann and the unwavering support of the head of the Airport Customs Office, Mr. Steffen Schneider, 26 teams from Germany, The Netherlands, Poland and Sweden met on November 8, 2025.

Some of them  dressed in their wildest outfits, ready to get the balls down the lane. It quickly became clear who was a pro and who was just a casual player. While the amateurs used the balls provided, the pros brought their own.

Congratulations to HZA Berlin and Crazy 4 Berlin for first place; FKS Neuruppin and Team Split Happens Branne for second place; and HZA Gießen and Team FKS Fulda for third place in the national rankings. Internationally, the Leipzig Airport Customs Of-fice (ZA Leipzig) can celebrate first place, the Polish team second, and the Swedish team third.

But every competition, of course, has a worthy loser. The Rosenheim Customs Office (HZA Rosenheim) and their team, Leberkasbande, landed in 26th place. True to their motto, "We weren't bad, but the others were just better", they happily accepted the award for last place.
