ECSA shooting competition rules (revised February 2019)

 Since 2004, shooting competitions are beiing organized by various ECSA members.

In order to create a safe and work related competition the following rules need to be followed.

 

Rules:
Invitation:

  • Invitations need to be send in 6 months before the competition
  • Always send the invitation to the DG of the Customs administration and the ECSA representative
  • Transportation from the airport or trainstation of participants has to be provided by the organizing administration
  • In case of transport of weapons, border formalities must be prepared by the organizer

 

Competition:

  • EPP will be the leading stage
  • Teams will consist of 3 shooters
  • The focus will be on pistol shooting however stages with other weapons are allowed
  • Composed teams are allowed
  • There will be a team and an individual competition
  • Participants have to bring service pistols, tuned pistols are not allowed
  • The organizer must, if needed, provide pistols for those particapants who can’t bring their own weapons.
  • All participant need to be well trained and work as an armed customs officer
  • No combination of pistol and other wapons for precision shooting
  • No participants in the jury or in the results administration.
  • Situation stages, build and evaluated according to the valid international IPSC rules optional disciplines or situations chosen by the organizer are possible.

 

Safety rules:

  • All participants have to follow the safety rules of the organizer and the shooting range.
  • Weapens need to be stored in a safe overnight.
  • Weapens may only be unholstered during the parcours or in secured eareas
  • When a shot is fired in any other direction then the (sand) bulletcatcher, it will result in a disqualification.
  • When active in the stage, it’s is not allowed to have a finger at the trigger.

European Police Parcour

Targets:  EPP Target 

Rounds:  50 

Max. PTS:  250 

Start position:  Both hands lowered on the 7 m. line. 

Gun condition:  Gun loaded with 5 rounds and holstered, 5 rounds in the second magazine. 

Start/Stop:  By whistle signal. 

 

Both-handed shooting (one-handed shooting is only from a 10 meter distance, 5 shots into a small, circular target) from various positions and distances.

Time limit: 5 minutes and 30 seconds (that includes loading 5 rounds into the magazine and loading the gun).

 

EPP is divided into 7 basic disciplines:

  1. Eye level shooting: two magazines of 5 shots from a distance of 7 meters, within a time limit of 15 seconds.
  2. Precision shooting: holding gun in both hands, from a distance of 30 meters, 5 shots in a lying position.
  3. Precision shooting: holding gun in both hands, from a distance of 25  meters, 5 shots in a sitting position.
  4. Precision shooting from behind a shield: from a distance of 20 meters, 5 shots from the right side of the shield,  shooting right-handed, and 5 shots from the left side of the shield, shooting left-handed.
  1. Precision shooting: holding gun in both hands, from a distance of 15 meters, 5 shots in a kneeling position.
  2. Stress fire: Gun is holstered, 5 shots in a standing position, the time is 10 seconds (for 5 rounds).
  3. Precision shooting: from a distance of 10 meters, 5 shots holding the gun in only one hand while shooting at a 4/5 round target positioned top left or right (your choice), and 5 shots holding the gun in both hands shooting at the 4/5 round target which has not been shot at before
