Welcome to the Hungarian page of ECSA Website.
After 143 years of independent operation on 1st January 2011 the Hungarian Customs and Finance Guard (founded on 10 March 1867 as the Hungarian Royal Customs and Tax Guard) merged with the tax authority establishing the National Tax and Customs Administration (NTCA). This new government office has around 23,000 employees and is now responsible for the collection of the vast majority of state revenues for the Hungarian state. The NTCA has different branches for Customs and Finance issues, Tax, IT, Resource Management, Strategy, External Relations, and Fight Against Crime.
Despite of the many changes the customs administration went through in 2010 and 2011 the Customs Sports Club (PSE) remained an independent association, enjoying the full support of the highest management of NTCA, receiving the biggest part of its budget from the government office. Sports sections of PSE soaked up the talented applicants of the sports club of the former tax administration, while the masses who wanted to do some sports in an amateur way in their spare-time could join the mass-sports section of PSE. The sections the PSE has now are the following:
• Table-tennis
• Tennis & Squash & Badminton
• Handball
• Football
• Volleyball
• Chess
• Running & Athletics
• Hiking
• Sailing & Water Sports
The Customs Sports Club was formed in 1950, and celebrated its 60th anniversary of establishment with a great Gala event summoning the sportsmen, supporters, the management and friends of PSE from all corners of Hungary.
The PSE traditionally sends teams to Nijmegen, 20k of Brussels, and the Otwock-Swider Table-tennis Tournament, while receives/organizes an ECSA Marathon (SPAR Marathon) every second year, and the Shooting Contest the Hungarian Customs and Finance Guard founded back in 2002
