Date: 19 April 2026
Country: Poland
Location: Ottwock
The Championships were officially opened by Marian Białek, Deputy Director of the Tax & Customs Academy, who warmly welcomed all participants, referees, and co-organizers on behalf of the hosts.
This year’s tournament attracted 96 players, including 23 international participants representing Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, and Slovakia. Alongside representatives from ECSA member states, the event also brought together teams from regional offices of the National Revenue Administration in Poland, the National Revenue Information Service, the IT Centre of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Finance, and the Tax & Customs Academy.
The competition was overseen by licensed referees from the Masovian District Table Tennis Association. Under the leadership of head referee Magdalena Olszewska, the tournament ran smoothly and maintained a high professional standard throughout. The matches proved to be highly competitive, with many final games decided by the narrowest of margins. Success often came down to the smallest details and the players’ mental resilience, highlighting the impressive level of this year’s competition. Participants demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, determination, and commitment at every stage of the tournament. The spirit of fair play was evident throughout, and the matches provided exciting moments for both players and spectators alike.
The event also reflected a steady rise in performance levels, with participants continually improving their technique, tactics, and physical preparation. This ongoing development contributes to increasingly competitive matches and enhances the overall quality of the tournament.
This year’s Championships once again confirmed the growing popularity of table tennis within the community. Beyond competition, the tournament served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships, foster cooperation, and promote integration among participants.
The event was officially closed by the Head of the Tax Office in Otwock, and Beata Moczulska, Head of the T&CA Training Centre in Otwock. The closing ceremony was translated into English by Wieslawa Koter from the T&CA International Cooperation Team, ensuring that all international guests could fully follow and enjoy the proceedings.
