Summary

The Urban Trail 2026 was held in Luxembourg City on April 19th, 2026. This annual running event drew thousands of participants from Luxembourg and abroad. Renowned for its distinctive course that merges urban scenery, historic landmarks, and picturesque city views, the race offers a challenging yet scenic experience suitable for runners of all levels.

This year, over 3,488 finishers crossed the line, including professional athletes, amateur enthusiasts, and 36 ECSA-runners. Participants could choose from four distances: 14 km (1503 finishers), 18 km (1054 finishers), 27 km (435 finishers), and 34 km (496 finishers). The routes navigated through Luxembourg’s historic Old Town, along the Pétrusse Valley, and around the modern business districts. Iconic sights such as the Grand Ducal Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Philharmonie Luxembourg provided stunning backdrops. The course featured both paved roads and cobblestone streets, requiring agility and endurance from runners.

The 2026 Urban Trail once again highlighted Luxembourg’s vibrant urban environment and dedication to promoting healthy living. Its popularity continues to grow, cementing its reputation as a premier running event in the region.
